This all inclusive option will challenge cyclists to conquer 100 miles over three days. This is a fully-supported group ride includes overnight accommodations.
Sections of the route will be on dedicated bike paths and other sections will be on major roads. Van support will be available; however rider level should coincide with mileage and terrain to be covered.
Day 1: Starting in Lincoln, NH participants will ride through the resort town and take a right onto Route 3 Bypass. Take another right onto Route 3 (by Clark’s Trading Post). Riders can take a break at the Flume Visitor’s Center and pick up Recreation Trail at the north end of the parking lot. Along the trail, take a left into the Cannon Mountain Tramway parking lot and stop for lunch. After lunch, riders will hop back on the Recreation Trail. When the trail ends, turn right onto Route 3 North. Take a right in Twin Mountain, NH onto Rt. 302 east. Take a right into the AMC Highland Center.
Day 2: Out of the Highland Center parking lot, take a right onto Rt. 302 east. Riders will cruise downhill and take a break in the town of Bartlett, NH and again at the junction of 302 and 16. In North Conway, take a left after Joe Jones (at the light) onto Kearsarge Road and the next right (at the railroad tracks) onto North South Road. Turn right into Settler’s Green and the North Conway Grand Hotel.
Day 3: Travel on Route 302 east. Continue straight at the junction of 302/16 onto Route 16 south. Take a right onto East Side Drive and bear right after the covered bridge. Registration will begin at 9:00am on Friday. Depending on the speed of riders, we will finish between 1-3:00pm on Sunday.
Registration: We do not have a registration deadline, but space is limited, so register early to reserve your spot.
Cost: The registration fee for the three day ride is $350. In addition, there is a $100 fundraising minimum. Participants are encouraged to raise additional funds to support Northeast Passage’s adaptive sports programs. If the fundraising minimum is not met by registration on Friday, riders are responsible for covering the difference. The registration fee covers a rider’s costs for all meals, lodging and give-away item.
Please note: Due to the logistics of this event, we cannot refund registration fees or fundraising dollars.
Meals/Food: All meals (Friday lunch and dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch) as well as a few snacks, waters and Gatorades will be provided along the way. If you have specific dietary needs, please let us know ahead of time. Also, if you have specific hydrating beverages or energy snacks that you prefer, please feel free to bring them along. If you feel you will need supplies along the way, we suggest packing a backpack that can go in one of the vans and can be reached easily.
Northeast Passage provides double occupancy accommodations exclusively for riders. Family and friends, who aren’t riding and wish to stay at the same hotels as the group, must make their own separate reservations directly with the hotel and must cover that cost. If any rider wishes to not room with the group, they are responsible for their own expenses and must notify Northeast Passage (in advance) so that a space is not set aside.
If you are not riding and you plan to eat dinner with the group, Northeast Passage must be notified in advance (at least 1 week prior). You will also be responsible for covering the cost of your meal. Thank you for your understanding. Please contact us if you have questions.
Support: Northeast Passage will have three vehicles on the road. Our trailer will carry all luggage, wheelchairs and other supplies for all participants. The other vehicles are on the road as a safety measure. Participants are not encouraged to rely on a Northeast Passage vehicle for transportation, but the vehicle is available in case of emergency.
Northeast Passage staff and trained medical personnel will also be riding on the road with participants. While this support is available, riders should bring along their own support team, if they feel it will be necessary. For safety’s sake, riders will have until 5pm to complete the route of the day. If this is not possible, riders will be provided with transportation to the day’s destination.
